The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is a test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It s designed to help you achieve your ambition of working, studying or moving to a country where English is spoken.
If you are applying for a Student Visa to study for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at a university that is a licensed student sponsor, you must meet the English language level set by the institution. All UK universities and colleges accept IELTS results.

At PS EDUCATION, we recognise that everyone learns in their own unique way. This is why one to one support is so important.
Whether the student has knowledge gaps, struggles in certain areas, has issues with remembering facts and concepts when taught in a large classroom and needs repetition in a calmer environment or even if they are simply not being stretched enough and need to be challenged, every person has their own learning style.

We assess the student's needs and requirements, spend time understanding their academic status and their personality. This helps us recommend the right tutoring programme and the tutor who would work best with them.
We all have unique learning styles and we can adapt our learning according to this in order to maximise the benefits.
Children have their own styles too - even at a young age……
The key is to understand how our brains work and which tools to use to maximise our learning. We work with every student and analyse if they are auditory, visual, tactile or a combination of learners and we make sure we utilise their strengths with the tools we provide them with in order to build their confidence as well as their knowledge.

Our Tutors
All our tutors are subject specialists and have at least 2-3 years' experience.
They all have enhanced DBS status and we interview and follow up on their references thoroughly and regularly.
As well as being specific subject specialists, our tutors are exam board experts and entrance examinations professionals.
We work closely together to maximise every student's performance.
Once we carry out our assessment and you are happy to start sessions, we send you the proposed tutor's profile and tell you why we feel that student/tutor match has been made. We then ask your permission for the tutor to contact you to introduce themselves and schedule the sessions accordingly.
Online Sessions
Most of our tutoring is delivered online. This facilitates tutor availability and students' requirements. Rather than relying on geographical locations and free time, we focus on the right tutor for the right students. During our assessment, we test the students' focus and ability to work online and we advise the family accordingly. Sometimes, we advise against online provision - our role is to do what is right for the student.
Sessions are delivered via Zoom, MS Teams or Bramble. The session notes and reports are written up by the tutors and emailed by us shortly after every session. Our consultants work with the family on assessing progress. We arrange follow-up calls and meetings to chat through any concerns or updates on a regular basis. Our aim is to make sure the tutoring provision benefits the student in the best way possible.
Subjects and Levels
We provide tutoring in most subjects and levels, 11+ preparation, entrance exams to prep or senior schools, KS3, GCSEs and A levels. We have worked with students of all abilities and levels and offer flexibility in changing provision and plans accordingly to students' changing needs and requirements.
11+ - English, Maths, Verbal, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Interview techniques, KS3 to A Levels - English Language / Literature, Maths, Further Maths, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) Combined or Triple History, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Business, Economics, Politics, Languages (French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Chinese - Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Italian)

Academic Mentoring Programme
Our AMP takes a number of shapes depending on the family and student needs.
Whether it is needing a Director of Studies to plan, support and guide you throughout the education journey, or navigate your academic work to achieve your goal or prepare you prior to and upon arrival in the UK.
We work closely with families and students helping them on a short and long term plan. We assess the student, narrow down the needs and requirements. Next we set the goals and start working on building that solid base and lay the bricks needed for hard work, confidence and enjoyment of learning to take place!
